Eurolotto Review

EuroLotto Review EuroLotto is an online lottery betting site with a few slots and a live dealer suite for the times players might find themselves between games. The site is owned by PlayCherry Ltd., a Maltese subsidiary of the Stockholm-listed Cherry AB.

***EUROLOTTO.COM SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED OFFERING ALL OF ITS SERVICES IN OCTOBER 2019. That is why we've dropped its ranking to the bottom of our list. The EuroLotto review that you see below was written when the site was fully functional.***

  1. EuroLotto Casino Review Vast Variety of Slot Machines In the “Casino” section of this website, players will find a very well-stocked lobby of 5-reel video slots – as well as one or two 3-reel arcade classics.
  2. EuroLotto Review When first opening the online lottery service EuroLotto.com, I was pleasantly surprised at the information’s color and layout. Next, I noticed the 25 million Euros offer in a daily draw, except it doesn’t say what draw. A chance at 25 million Euros – wow.

-----------------

EuroLotto is an online lottery platform launched in 2011 by PlayCherry Ltd., a company based in Sliema, Malta. The website allows users to participate in over six global lotteries and more than 18 scratchcard games straight from their computers and mobile devices. Aside from lotteries, the website also offers several casino games like slots and video poker. The website is available in five languages, including English, German, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish.

Online Lottery Games

EuroLotto sells tickets to the following international lotteries:

  • EuroJackpot
  • EuroMillions
  • Powerball
  • MegaMillions
  • Lotto 6/49
  • DinoLotto

How It Works

Before going further, it should be made clear that EuroLotto is a lottery betting website. The website does not purchase actual tickets on your behalf and you are not entering the actual draw. You are simply betting on the outcome of the draw and all winnings are paid by EuroLotto’s bookmaker in Curacao.

As with all online lottery sites, you need to sign up for an account if you want to participate in any of EuroLotto’s offerings, be it lotteries, scratch cards or casino games. Once you have verified your account, you need to deposit funds into your account to pay for tickets. You can access your game of choice through the website’s front page. Each lottery page contains general information about the lottery, such as its history, rules, next draw date and current jackpot. You may select your own numbers or have the system do it for you. Once you are satisfied with your picks, just press the “Add to Cart” button. Click the Basket button to go through the checkout process.

Once you have paid for your tickets, you will receive a confirmation email regarding your transaction. You may also keep track of your numbers and the draw dates through the website. A notification email will be sent in case your combination garners any winnings. Prizes are credited to the player’s account and smaller prizes are awarded in full. For prizes exceeding €5,000,000, EuroLotto shall pay 10% of the amount immediately, whereas the remaining 90% shall be paid via installment basis over the course of nine years.

EuroLotto will ask for verification before winnings are awarded. For security purposes, users may only withdraw winnings through the same payment method they used to deposit funds into their account.

Navigating The Website

The website’s layout is simple, but enough effort has been put into its design and content to make the company look legitimate. Lotteries, scratchcard games, and casino games can be accessed through the header bar. Users also have easy access to customer support portals as tabs for email support and live chat are located at the right side of the page. Their live chat is open 24/7, which is useful for an international website. The website was tested on several mobile devices and it is quite responsive.

Modes of Payment

Before choosing your preferred mode of payment, remember that EuroLotto only allows withdrawals through the same payment method where you deposited your initial funds to.

Here are the available modes of payment on the website:

  • Credit/Debit Cards - VISA, Mastercard
  • Bank Transfer
  • Skrill (Moneybookers)

Rules and Regulations

Here are some of the rules and regulations stated on the EuroLotto website:

  • The player must be 18 years of age or above, unless if they live in places like Estonia, where the legal age for gambling is 21.
  • It is the player’s responsibility to find out if gambling is legal in their jurisdiction
  • Each person may only have one account. EuroLotto has a system that compares player info and detects IP addresses to check for multiple accounts.

Additionally, EuroLotto does not accept players from the following jurisdictions:

  • American Samoa
  • Bonaire
  • Canada
  • France
  • French Guiana
  • French Polynesia
  • Guadeloupe
  • Guam
  • Hungary
  • Martinique
  • New Caledonia
  • Reunion
  • Saint Barthelemy
  • Saint Martin
  • Saint Pierre and Miquelon
  • East Timor
  • United States of America
  • Wallis and Futuna
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • the Netherlands
  • Denmark
  • Israel
  • Belgium
  • United Kingdom
  • Austria
  • Thailand
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Turkey
  • Australia
  • Czech Republic

Current Promotions

Here are some of the promotions currently up for grabs at the EuroLotto website as of the writing of this review:

  • EuroLotto is currently offering 100% cashback for all newcomers. This means that if your ticket doesn’t win any prizes, EuroLotto will refund all lines, no questions asked! The promo only applies to tickets made to lotteries with the nearest draw date. So if you bought a ticket for a June 14 draw and June 18 draw, the former would receive the cashback promotion.
  • The website’s instant win and casino games are apparently new additions, so to encourage more players to try them out, EuroLotto is offering 100% bonus on the first deposit. For example, if your first account top up is €100, you’ll get €100 for free so you can try out the website’s new games. Remember that while the promotion is meant to encourage players to try out new games, the deposit bonus can also be used for purchasing lottery tickets as well.

Customer Support

One nice thing about the EuroLotto website is that the email and live chat support tabs are very visible. Their icons are located on the right hand side of the page. According to the website, the live chat support is open 24/7, and while writing this review, we were able to connect to a customer service representative immediately. If their live chat is experiencing downtimes, you can send your concerns through their contact form, or visit their social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Review Conclusion

When it comes to website design, EuroLotto looks like the real deal. However, going through their website content and reading up about their mechanics is another thing altogether. While we were researching for this review, we wanted to check if this service purchases tickets on your behalf, or if you were simply betting on a lottery’s outcome. Even going through their terms and conditions, there was a lot of legal mumbo jumbo, but the website’s mechanism was still a mystery. We had to talk to a customer representative via live chat to confirm that the website was a lottery betting site and you do not enter the actual draw. Since a lot of people are confused regarding this, it would have been better if EuroLotto made its mechanics clear as day, especially for newcomers.

However, it was nice that we were able to get in touch with the live chat representative. When conducting these reviews, we do seek the assistance of the website’s customer service portal to clear up some vague terms or answer our questions and most of the time, we find offline live chats and email supports that take days to reply. So being able to get in touch with a customer representative within a few seconds is a plus.

We did ask the customer representative if they had any stories to share about previous winners, and he said it was something he cannot expose. Several online lottery websites do share stories of users who won big prizes, with the names of the users kept secret for privacy. It would have been nice if EuroLotto was able to give people winner testimonials to reassure people of the site’s legitimacy. However, the site is still relatively new compared to other lottery sites so we simply hope that in the future, the company grows and is able to work on the things that it lacks presently.

This is not the biggest lottery site with just five lotteries on offer, but EuroLotto does cover the biggest in the world including Powerball, Mega Millions, EuroMillions and EuroJackpot. EuroLotto also offers wagers on DinoLotto, which is an exclusive virtual lotto with a fixed jackpot of €50 million and odds on par with EuroMillions.

EuroLotto is owned and operated by the Cherry Group, a company which was started in Sweden back in 1963. The Cherry Group launched EuroLotto.com in 2011 to go along with a variety of offline and online gaming interests. Cherry AB is a publicly traded company on Nasdaq Stockholm (CHER B).

A positive reputation and the backing of a respected company make EuroLotto a quality lottery site in terms of safety and security. Our chief complaint is a lack of options when it comes to actually picking your lotteries. With just five lottos on offer, this is not the site to choose if you would rather have access to a wide variety of lotteries.

On the other hand, the casino and keno portions of the website offer a ton of additional gaming options. We’ll discuss the casino more in a moment, but let’s first look at the lotteries offered by EuroLotto.

EuroLotto Lottery Options

Eurolotto Review

The lottery offerings at EuroLotto allow you to bet on the outcome of lotteries, not to purchase actual tickets. What that means is EuroLotto does not buy physical tickets on your behalf. Instead, you are betting on the outcome of real drawings and are paid by EuroLotto if you predict the winning numbers.

EuroLotto matches all jackpots with real-world jackpots, so the difference from your point of view is minimal. If the current Powerball jackpot is €100 million and you win, you’ll be paid €100 million. These payouts are guaranteed by special insurance agreements that are activated in the event a customer does hit a massive jackpot.

One of the advantages of betting on the lottery rather than simply buying tickets is it is almost always cheaper to just bet on the lottery. EuroLotto does not have to pay people to go out and buy tickets in the real world and can pass that savings onto you. You still have access to all the same jackpots, but do not have to pay the high markups that many lotto sites charge for buying real tickets.

Here’s the full list of EuroLotto lotteries and prices:

Single ticket entries are permitted along with recurring tickets running anywhere from 1 to 52 weeks. You may also activate the subscription option to have the system automatically renew at the end of your selected duration.

All lotteries at EuroLotto come with an additional Boosterball betting option. If you choose to activate Boosterball, three of your numbers will be chosen to act as your Boosterballs. If all three of your Boosterball numbers are chosen in the lottery, you get an additional payout of 1,000x your bet. You can bet anywhere from €1 to €10 on Boosterball numbers for up to €10,000 in additional winnings.

We had a little trouble at first figuring out how to choose our Boosterball numbers so here’s the deal: any three of your lotto numbers can be selected to serve as your Boosterball numbers. You can choose which three are selected by repeatedly clicking on the little Boosterball symbol at the bottom of each ticket until the three numbers you want are selected.

*DinoLotto is a virtual lottery that is based on the outcome of EuroMillions, but has a fixed jackpot of €50 million for every drawing and is cheaper to play despite having the same winning odds.

EuroLotto Bonuses and Promotions

EuroLotto.com offers new customer welcome bonuses for both lotto players and casino gamblers alike. Additionally, EuroLotto often hosts special promotions for loyal customers.

Lottery Bonus: Money Back Offer

The lottery bonus gives all new customers loss-free tickets to get started. After you sign up for an account and make a deposit, you can purchase your first ticket and get your money back if it doesn’t win.

You can spend as much as you like on the first ticket and your bonus will match the amount spent. For example, playing a single line on Powerball for €4.00 will get you a €4.00 bonus if it doesn’t win anything. Alternatively, you could purchase 5 Powerball lines for €20 and get the bonus if none of those is a winner.

Casino Bonus: 100% up to €100

You can also take advantage of a 100% casino bonus at EuroLotto if you deposit at least €20 after signing up. After you register an account, they will match your first deposit for up to €100 in bonus cash.

Once you have your bonus, you can use it to place bets in slots and other games and win even more. The bonus amount comes with a 40x rollover, which means you need to place a total sum of wagers equal to 40 times the bonus amount.

For example, let’s say you deposit €30 and get a €30 bonus for a total bankroll of €60. Your rollover on this bonus would be €1200 (€30 x 40). After you have wagered €1200, you are free to withdraw your money.

EuroLotto Casino

EuroLotto Casino is accessible to everyone with a EuroLotto account and any money you have deposited in your account can be used to play games or enter lotteries at will. The Cherry Group that operates EuroLotto has extensive experience in online casino games, so it is not surprising to see such a strong casino offering on a lottery site.

There are literally hundreds of games to choose from, with all of them provided by noted software developers such as NetEnt, Play’n Go, Microgaming, Yggdrasil, Oryx Gaming, Evolution and more. All EuroLotto casino games operate under a Malta Gaming Authority license and are provably fair.

The selection here is just as wide as you would find at any full-fledged online casino. They have 3D slots, progressive games with life-changing jackpots in excess of €1.3 million, table games and even live dealer games. EuroLotto’s ability to offer such a complete casino for customers is undoubtedly related to the fact that the parent company also owns ComeOn.com, which itself is a major name in online gambling.

Scratch Cards and Other Games

In addition to standard casino games, EuroLotto also has a large selection of instant win scratch cards, keno games, instant bingo games and casual games of various types.

Scratch Cards

The scratch cards here resemble instant win games sold by lottery retailers in most countries. All you do is buy the ticket, scratch off the hidden boxes and see if you have won any prizes.

The following chart shows all EuroLotto scratch cards along with their betting options and payouts. Keep in mind the odds vary from one game to the next even if the top prize is different. Typically, games with smaller prizes offer the best odds while games with the biggest prizes are more difficult to win.

Other Games

The remaining EuroLotto games list consists of a single keno variant, a handful of single-player bingo games and several casual games. The keno game is called Keno 3and allows you to pick anywhere from 1 through 15 numbers out of 80 before drawing 20 numbers at random. Payouts in this one range from 0.5x your bet to 10,000x your bet for a potential max payout of €100,000.

The remaining bingo games give you bingo cards like in regular bingo games and then draws balls at random that hopefully match the numbers on your card. When you complete patterns, you win the prize associated with that pattern.

You can win some serious money in the bingo games, but they are definitely high-volatility games. For example, Mayan Bingo has a minimum starting payout of 50x your bet and a maximum of 50,000x your bet. The end result is you tend to go long stretches without winning before finally hitting a medium-to-large payout.
